Please feel free to join us for our annual
celebration of Catholic Schools Week. This year’s theme
is “Catholic Schools Light the Way”. We’ve
planned a variety of events that focus on different aspects
of Catholic education. Come see how Sacred Heart of Jesus
Catholic School lights the way!
For our Parish: Sunday, January 27
• Students attend Mass in uniforms
• School choir will perform at Mass (11:00)
• School Open House (12:00-2:00)
For our Community: Monday, January 28
• Catholic Charities Drive
o Preschool – Hamburger Helper
o Kindergarten – Bar Soap
o First Grade – Kleenex
o Second Grade – Toilet Paper
o Third Grade – Toothbrushes
o Fourth Grade – Toothpaste
o Fifth Grade – Shampoo
o Sixth Grade – Canned Corn
o Seventh Grade – Canned Baked Beans
o Eighth Grade – Cleaning Products
• 5th-8th grades will write thank you notes to community
service people
o Fifth Grade – Fire Station
o Sixth Grade – DARE/Police Station
o Seventh Grade - Price Chopper
o Eighth Grade – Post Office
• Free Dress- Pajama Day
For our Students: Tuesday, January 29
• Our Catholic Schools Committee will provide candles
for students to put on a giant birthday cake celebrating our
50th year as a school.
• All School Bingo (12:30)
• Free Dress
For our Nation: Wednesday, January 30
• 9:30 Rosary led by Father Craig
• K-4th grade will make Valentines for patients at our
local Veteran’s Hospital
• Spelling Bee (1:30)
• Free Dress-Red, white, and blue
For our Vocations: Thursday, January 31
• All School Mass with the Archbishop (8:15)
• Dedication of our Jesus and Joseph statue
• School of Religion Shadow Day
• School uniforms
For our Faculty, Staff, and Volunteers: Friday, February
1
• Talent Show (1:00)
• Sock hop in PE/Music time
• Free Dress- 1950’s day attire
