Readers Digest National
Word Power Challenge
Sacred Heart fourth through eighth graders
participated recently in the Readers Digest National Word
Power Challenge. Winners of the grade level challenge in which
students answered questions challenging their vocabulary skills
were: Colin M. (4th), Ian G. (5th), Garrett H. (6th), John
C.(7th), and Steven W. (8th). These students have submitted
a written test to determine the top scorers among 4th and
5th graders in the state who will receive recognition and
awards; the top 100 scorers in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade will
be invited to compete in the state championship on March 20,
2006.
