Our pre-enrollment for the 2021-22 school year will be conducted on-line. Pre-enrollment for current school families begins on January 29, 2021 and ends on February 10, 2021. Due to class sizes, if pre-enrollment is not completed by February 10, 2021, your child(ren) may not have a spot guaranteed.
After you complete the online enrollment process on the School Portal (Steps 1-6 below), you will be directed to FACTS tuition website where you will pay your registration and technology fees and sign up for your tuition payment plan. You will need your Unique Code from FACTS. (It should have been emailed to the email address you have associated with your FACTS account on January 29, 2021.) Remember: you can pay either by e-check (no cost to you) or by credit card (additional fees will apply). Your registration will not be complete without accessing the FACTS website to 1) Set up a tuition payment plan for the 21-22 school year AND 2) Pay registration and technology fees for 21-22. Health, After School Care, and Photo Release forms are due in August during registration, but will be accepted anytime between now and then.
Open enrollment for new school families will begin February 11, 2021. All new families must enroll using a paper enrollment form which can be obtained by calling the school office at 913.422.5520.
Applicants will comply with Kansas Law, which states that a child must be five years of age on or before August 31 to enter kindergarten, six years of age on or before August 31 to enter grade one. All kindergartners must be evaluated before the first day of school and meet reasonable academic requirements. The student and the parents must be willing and able to abide by all policies and regulations as stated in the current Student / Parent Handbook. New students will be placed on a six-week academic and behavioral probation. At the end of the six-week time frame, a conference with the parents, teacher, principal and if deemed necessary, the student will be held to determine future status.
All children must present a state issued birth certificate and a baptismal certificate upon entering Sacred Heart Catholic School for the first time. A record of immunizations on the official Kansas Certification of Immunization form must be presented by all students upon entering any Kansas School for the first time. The students are also required to have a physical examination. All students are required by the State to be vaccinated against measles, mumps, rubella, polio, diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (DPT), hepatitis B and varicella (chickenpox).
Admittance Prioritization for the coming School Year:
-Being in compliance with all school policies and procedures.
-Being current on all financial obligations to the school (tuition, fees, mandatory fundraisers, etc.)
–Family attendance and participation at Mass.
-A time and talent commitment to at least one parish ministry.
-Sacrificial giving of their treasure to support the parish’s general operating budget.

Prior to beginning, please make sure that you know your User ID and password for the School Portal. If you do not know that information please contact Ben Chapman at ben.chapman@shoj.org and he can email that to you. These website instructions below are the exact same instructions as you received in your Instructions Packet.
Please note: on-line registration will take about 20–25 minutes. Please allot enough time to complete the registration process in one sitting if at all possible.
Once you have completed payment, your enrollment is complete! The school office will be notified.
AFTER SCHOOL CARE INFORMATION: You can request an After School Care Packet from the School Office or access it through the School Portal. All fees remain the same for 2021-22. See the form below.
It is the policy of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish that no active parish family will be denied a Catholic education based solely on their ability to pay. By the same token, we believe strongly that everyone should make some sacrifice.
While enrolling in your FACTS payment plan you will have the opportunity to apply for Financial Aid at the same site. Please follow the directions on that site (LINK HERE) All documentation needs to be submitted by March 29, 2021 in order to make a timely decision.
These are the required health forms to be completed by parent/guardian and returned to the school before the first day of school. They may be turned in to the school office anytime before the start of the 2021-2022 school year. All families need to complete the first 2 forms EVERY school year. Families with students NEW to SHOJ need to complete the KDHE-Child Medical Record – Health Assessment in addition to the other Student Health Forms. If a child has a Food Allergy, Asthma, or Seizures, the appropriate Action Plan must be completed.
