Hello October! What a fun time of year.
We enjoyed seeing so many of you at conferences last week. As always, reach out any time you have a question.
Recently, we were able to invest in some new recess equipment for each grade level. Each grade level was given a color coded bag of new equipment. Along with this we purchased an outdoor gaga ball pit and hope to get some soccer goals from St. James. These are two things that I could use some help with.
First, we are going to line the ball pit with mulch. We think it will take about 8-10 bags of the uncolored wood mulch to get a good base. If you are willing to drop off a bag or two we would appreciate it. If you could just drop them by the entrance to the fence or near the pit and stack the bags people will know how many we have/need.
In order to get the goals from SJA, we need a flatbed trailer to transport them here. I am sure a couple of friends would be needed to load them and get them in the fenced area. Let me know if you are able to help with this and I will get the arrangements made.
Also, during October we will start having a trained emotional support dog back at SHOJ for at least one day a week. Please let us know if your child has a fear or concern. We have found that dogs really motivate and calm some children with little disruption in the building. We have one person that is in charge and ensures that all is going well.
As we wrap up the first quarter, be assured of our commitment to an excellent education centered around our Catholic faith. We know how busy all calendars are this time of year and appreciate all that you do support SHOJ. We look forward to many happy celebrations with you all!
