We are in need of volunteers in the lunchroom on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Volunteer hours are 11:00 am-1:00 pm. You must be virtus trained to volunteer in the lunchroom, if you need more information about getting virtus trained, please reach out to Kerry in the parish office at: kerry.okeefeowens@shoj.org. If you or anyone you know (grandparents make great volunteers too!) is willing to volunteer, please reach out to Jessie Bathurst at: jessie.bathurst@shoj.org.
Thank you so much for your consideration!

Sometimes teaching in a Catholic School is overwhelming.
Take, for example, this morning at All School Mass. Father Joseph speaks to the children about David’s belief that the Lord would uphold him and keep him safe. Father shared how, at the close of Mass, the priest says
“The Lord be with you.” He encouraged the children to think about the power of fully believing that God will protect us as we leave the Mass. He encouraged them to take God with them as they go about their school day. Their life.
As the 5th grade students processed toward the altar to lead the Prayers of the Faithful, Father summoned them by calling “the courageous among us to lead us in prayer.”
And to end with our sweet young souls singing the Salve Regina. So beautiful!
It is just overwhelming teaching in this Catholic School.

Bring in cereal boxes Monday 12/8-Wednesday 12/10. All items will go to stock the Catholic Charities food pantry. Kindergarten-5th grade students should give items to their homeroom teachers. Middle School students should give their cereal boxes to their House Mentors.

Our preschool was filled with joy and gratitude last week as the wonderful parents came together to surprise both preschool teachers with beautiful wedding showers! Their thoughtfulness and love were a true reflection of Christ’s heart while celebrating the gift of marriage and the blessing of community. We are so thankful for the way these families continue to lift one another up in faith, joy, and love.
