Counseling department opportunity during Lent
Calling all 5th-8th grade students! Are you interested in joining a Rosary Making Club during Lent?
If so, here’s what you need to know…
Who: Any 5th-8th grade students who are interested in learning how to make a knotted Rosary (see picture above) and sharing time in friendship and prayer with other students
When: 3:30-5pm Thursdays during Lent from March 6th-April 10th (excluding the Thursday during spring break)
Where: SHOJ counseling office
Why: Learn how to make knotted Rosaries, pray together with a group of students during Lent, create a one-of-a-kind Rosary to use during the Lenten season, and have a new skill for a lifetime.
What: You need: a snack, and $5 (one time only for the 5 club meetings IF you’re able) to help with purchasing supplies for club meetings. Please especially bring an eager spirit, open mind, and prayerful heart.

In case you missed it in last week's newsletter: Dennis uniform will have a liquidation sale Feb. 14-18 from 10:00am to 6:00 pm at 6322 College Blvd., OP, KS 66211. For those families who have unfulfilled orders, they must bring their receipt to the sale and if there is available inventory, can purchase the same items for $0.00. If the inventory is not available , the the Receiver will offer those customer and additional 20% discount on available inventory. Customers who have unused vouchers will also receive the additional 20% discount.
Due to consistent forecast and storm warning, school is cancelled for 2/12.

It's 6:30 AM on a Friday morning. Do you know where your middle schooler is?
We caught these students at First Friday Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Mass, fellowship and Reconciliation. Beautiful stuff!
Sacred Heart is doing a late start today. Students may be dropped off at nine. School will start at 9:30. Hot lunch will be served.
Happy 100th Day of School!
My how our kindergarteners have grown! It seems like just yesterday they needed help opening milk cartons at lunch-now they look ready to retire! Mrs. Rule and Mrs. Wright have "matured" along with them. Thank you, teachers and parents, for celebrating this "they're growing up too fast" milestone.
